Several calls for projects – which are open to the entire scientific community – will be launched as part of the "Subsurface: a Common Good" research programme to support new research projects aimed at improving knowledge of the French subsurface.
Two types of calls for tender will be launched:
- Two calls for thematic projects, aimed at selecting innovative research projects. The proposals submitted will be assessed and selected by the French National Research Agency (ANR), the operator of the Priority Research Equipment and Programmes (PEPR).
- A call for expressions of interest to elicit letters of intent and support the co-construction of one or more research projects.
The estimated overall budget for these calls for tender will be €25.2 million, provided as subsidies under the France 2030 plan.
The calls for tender are scheduled to be launched from the end of 2024.
